Warning expires, but high surf advisories still in effect

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

As high surf from the Flossie continues to hit east facing shores as the storm dissipates, the National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory until 12 p.m. on Tuesday.

A high surf warning that was previously in effect has been cancelled.

Surf between 6 and 10 feet is expected along east facing shores Tuesday morning, and potentially dangerous currents could also make swimming both difficult and dangerous.

A small craft advisory has also been issued for waters around Kauai, the Big Island and Maui County.
