UH unveils plan to boost ticket sales

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The University of Hawai`i Athletics Department will launch a "Go Green, Save Green" promotion that will provide fans 50% off adult tickets for online purchases of select seats at 2013 UH football and women's volleyball contests.
Beginning Thursday, August 1, fans can purchase mini-packs for football that include four games for the price of two (4-for-2) and women's volleyball that include six matches for the price of three (6-for-3). All home football games will be available for the discount, along with most of the home women's volleyball matches. All non-P.S.C. (premium seat contribution) seats in the stadium and arena will be available for the mini-pack promotion.
On Monday, August 12, fans can begin purchasing individual tickets online for select seats at 50% off (maximum of eight tickets per purchase). Also, for the first time ever, fans will be able to select their exact seats for individual-game purchases online. UH will waive the Print-at-Home fee for the promotional tickets, allowing for free delivery to fans' home or office computers. Seats are primarily in the upper end zone in football and upper baseline in women's volleyball.
"We're really excited about this ticket promotion because it will help make our football and women's volleyball contests affordable to even more fans, especially those with families," Ben Jay, UH athletics director, said. "We want to increase the attendance at all of our events and create an exciting and fun-filled atmosphere for our fans and student-athletes."
The "Go Green, Save Green" promotion, which is for online purchases only, will end on Wednesday, August 28, or while ticket supplies last. Other restrictions may apply.
