Vice President Joe Biden makes stop in Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Vice President Joe Biden has touched down in Hawaii for a short stay on Oahu.

He and his wife Jill landed at around 12:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

The couple stopped over on their way back to our nation's captal following a six-day trade and diplomatic trip to India and Singapore.

The Bidens met with service members and their families, took pictures, and then thanked them all for their sacrifice and service.

The Vice President also spoke about former Hawaii Senators Daniel Inouye and Daniel Akaka in his remarks and how both men had fought for our freedom.

The Bidens will return to Washington, D.C. tomorrow.
