Steve Uyehara joins Roy Sakuma and bunch of his students to talk about the 43rd Annual Ukulele Festival coming up this weekend, and for a live studio performance showcasing some of the talent expected at the festival this Sunday.

Ukulele performers are coming together for the 43rd Annual Ukulele Festival taking place this Sunday, July 21st at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand in Waikiki from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The free event, presented by Tony Group Autoplex, is Hawaii's largest Ukulele concert in the park, with talent from around the world, including Jake Shimabukuro, Paula Fuga, Sean Na`auao, Kalama Intermediate School of Maui, Yamaha Music School of Ukulele (Japan), Pica Pica Ukulele Orchestra (Korea); Singto Numchok, Ribbee Ukulele Club (Thailand); Ukastle Ukestra, Central Coast Ukulele Club (Australia); and Johnny's Ukulele and Archer (Taiwan). Some 800 children, teens and adults in the Roy Sakuma Ukulele Band will also take the stage, performing popular tunes.

Free parking and shuttle service in three air-conditioned buses from Kapiolani Community College to Kapiolani Park and back will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
