36th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival

There's a great line-up for this year's 36th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival which takes place at Moanalua Gardens this Saturday, July 20th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Composer, musician and Kumu Hula Manu Boyd is creating a special ho'ike for the opening program which will feature a pule composed by Namakahelu Maka`ena, the last chantress of Kamananui Valley.

Additional highlights include 13 halau hula, poi pounding workshops, a craft fair with 30 crafters and artisans selling unique Hawaiian inspired merchandise, an opening procession and tribute to Prince Lot by the Royal Order of Kamehameha and a concert at noon by the Royal Hawaiian Band.
