A fire early this morning partially destroyed a home in Haiku Village in Kaneohe, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
No injuries were reported during the fire, which happened on Kuneki Way and was first reported just before 12:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 12:23 a.m., a fire department spokesperson says, and reported heavy fire in about half of the house. Crews had the fire under control by about 12:36 a.m. and had deemed it completely extinguished by 1:09 a.m.
Fire investigators say that the two people at home at the time of the fire escaped without injury. Two people who also live at the home were not present at the time of the fire.
A fire department spokesperson says that half of the house was heavily damaged during the fire, damage is estimated at $350,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
