Hawaii fire crews and volunteers with the Red Cross responded to a house fire on Kokokahi Street in Puna on the Big Island Saturday.
Hawaii fire crews arrived on scene to find a house ablaze with the front part of the structure partially collapsed. One vehicle was also involved in the fire and was burnt under the garage tent next to the home. The structure totally collapsed shortly after.
The fire was under control by 4:52 p.m.
No one was home at the time of the fire. The Red Cross was called to assist the family of five that lived there.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is unknown and will be determined after an investigation.
Damages are estimated at $10,000.
