Hilo man arrested for burglarizing Big Island home

HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A Hilo man was taken into police custody Friday night after being arrested in connection with a home break-in.

Surveillance video apparently shows 30-year-old Justin Fergerstrom allegedly breaking into a home on South Wilder Road.

Police say he stole about $1,700 worth of fishing gear, car parts, and power tools.

Fergerstrom is due in court on Monday.

He faces several charges including burglary.
