HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The man who was killed by a pickup truck on the Pali Highway on Saturday night has been identified by the Honolulu Medical Examiner.
24-year-old Levy Rivera was walking on a portion of the road where the overhead lights were out when he was hit at around 10:40 a.m.
Honolulu police closed the Pali Highway in the northbound direction on Saturday to investigate the accident.
According to paramedics, the man was transported to Queen's Medical Center in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.
Police say the driver of the truck was not drinking or speeding.
