Employee convicted of school thefts to be sentenced

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A former school employee at Fern Elementary School convicted of stealing $15,000 dollars is scheduled to be sentenced in court today.

Williamina Muranaka faces up to 10 years in prison as part of her sentence.

Under a plea deal, Muranaka could only have to serve a year behind bars if she was able to repay the money that she stole before her sentencing.
