HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police have opened an attempted murder investigation after a man was stabbed several times early Tuesday morning at McKinley High School in Honolulu.
The stabbing happened around 2:30 a.m. on the steps of the school's administration building.
Paramedics say a 33-year-old man was rushed to the Queen's Medical Center with five stab wounds, most of them to his upper body. The victim was last listed in serious condition.
Officers recovered a knife and arrested two men at the scene, ages 20 and 21.
They believe the three men may have been hanging out or camping together at the school. A chair, toilet paper and evidence of sleeping materials were visible, along with several empty beer bottles nearby.
Police are still investigating a motive for the stabbing.
