Williams solid in ninth start for Angels

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Although he didn't pick up the win, Jerome Williams still managed to put together a solid outing Friday as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim defeated the Houston Astros, 4-2.

The Waipahu grad allowed five hits, threw three strikeouts and gave up only one earned run in 6 1/3 innings of work.

The start was only Williams' ninth on the season and his record remains at 5-3. His next start is scheduled for July 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
