ESPN 1420's 3rd Annual Sports Festival - Kainoa McGee

(Hawaii News Now) - Attention Island sports enthusiasts: It's time to gear up for the third annual ESPN 1420 Sports Festival presented by Kaiser Permanente. This year's event is set to take place Saturday, June 29 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall in Honolulu. The best part: It's free! From sports clinics and activities for the kids, to autograph signings, a sports expo, games, health and nutrition information, giveaways and more, the ESPN 1420 Sports Festival promises to be a home run, knockout event for attendees of all ages.

Local sports celebrities will be on deck for autograph signing sessions at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the Sports Festival.  Former UH football stars Michael Carter, Nate Ilaoa, Rich Miano and Bryant Moniz are among the celebrities who are scheduled to appear for autograph signings at June 29's ESPN 1420 Sports Festival presented by Kaiser Permanente. Other luminaries set to appear include UFC star Max Holloway, pro surfer Kainoa McGee, former Notre Dame gridiron standout Robby Toma and former UH baseball star infielder Piikea Kitamura. Attendees can also explore all things health and wellness related with a stop at the Kaiser Permanente booth. Test personal fitness and agility through the Ladder Agility, Vertical Jump, and Standing Long Jump tests and see how you measure up. "Ask a Nutritionist" as a Kaiser Permanente Registered Dietitian will be on hand to answer your burning nutrition-related questions. After, see how your nutrition and exercise knowledge stacks up by taking a KP Nutrition and Physical Activity Quiz. Then, reward yourself with a stop by the Do-it-yourself Sports Drinks station for ono samples and take home recipes.
