(HawaiiNewsNow) - Known for capturing stunning Hawaiian landscapes and wildlife paintings, local artist Patrick Ching's will be sharing his talents in the coming weeks at the Manoa Surfrider.

It's all part of the month-long art event -- "KAI Waikiki Ocean Art Show -- by Martin & MacArthur, Hawaii's premier purveyor of exquisite koa and exotic wood home furnishings and personal accessories.

Ching will be creating at least 10 new original oil paintings daily on the Ewa Veranda in the Moana Surfrider's historic Banyan Wing directly outside of the Main Lobby of the Moana Surfrider. 

Visitors to the event are encouraged to bid on the paintings as they are being created. Limited edition prints will be made available for purchase at Martin & MacArtuhr's Moana Surfrider location. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Waikiki Aquarium.

Ching will be painting and asking guests to assist him in creating these paintings weekdays from June 17 to July 12 f rom 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

In addition, Ching will lead t-shirt splashes and mural paintings at the Waikiki Aquarium from 10 a.m. to noon on June 22, June 29 and July 6.

A kickoff event is planned for June 14 and a final reception to wrap up this unique event will be held on July 13.
