KUNIA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Fire fighters are at the scene of a brush fire along the H-2 freeway near the Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary.

The fire started before noon Wednesday, forcing police to temporarily close the far right lane of the H-2 freeway in the north bound direction at Ka Uka. Thick smoke is limiting visibility for drivers.

The fire was under control within an hour, but crews are still on the scene, officials say.

The cause at this time is unknown.
