Survey: Honolulu most expensive U.S. city to visit

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The travel website TripAdvisor found that Honolulu is the most expensive city in the U.S. to visit.

The survey compares the cost of a hotel stay, cocktails and dinner for two, and a return taxi trip. The total for Honolulu came out to $504.94.

While Honolulu topped the list, New York City in New York was a close second at $504.25.

The top five most expensive cities were rounded out with Boston, Massachusetts at $473.59; San Francisco, California at $471.89; and Chicago, Illinois at $448.45.

The survey found Las Vegas to be the least expensive city to visit at $272.94.
