HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii Agriculture Research Center Launches Private-Public Partnership "Seeds For Tomorrow" for Hawaii's Youth in June.
Hawaii Agriculture Research Center (HARC) has joined with Hawaiian Earth Products, Kunia Country Farms, Leeward Community College, and Oahu Resource & Conservation District to provide Hawaii's Youth with an interactive career exploration of Hawaii's most diverse agriculture in the United States.
Seeds For Tomorrow is a one-week Adventure Camp June 17-21, 2013, based at HARC's Kunia operations. Students will leave with dirt on their shoes and an exploration of sustainable food production from farm to table. The camp runs from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., and will include visits to farms, value-added Ag production facilities and the Leeward Community College campus. Students in 9th-12th grades at charter, homeschool, private and public programs are invited to join the fun. For more information click HERE.
