HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Honolulu Police Department says it has arrested a man in connection with the murder of an Oregon woman whose body was found on the Waianae Coast.

According to HPD, Nathaniel Cosby was arrested shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Honolulu International Airport. He was booked on suspicion of second-degree murder.

The 38-year-old Cosby is a U.S. Marine.

Police say Ivanice "Ivy" Harris was last seen on May 16 at 2:15 a.m. speaking with an unknown man outside of a bar in Waikiki. Her body was discovered four days later on the side of a highway near Yokohama Bay.

Harris was a Portland resident who had traveled to Hawaii with her friends and boyfriend, Mark Miles, to celebrate her 29th birthday.

"It took diligent work on the detectives part of pounding the pavement, talking to everyone that she was in contact with and the last places that she was seen at, and put the pieces of the puzzle together and got an arrest," said Sgt. Kim Buffett of Honolulu CrimeStoppers.

Investigators didn't immediately reveal the circumstances of the arrest or a possible motive for the murder.

Hawaii News Now's sister station in Portland is reporting that Ivanice Harris recently learned she was four weeks pregnant.

"Oh, she would've been the best mother in the world," Harris' mother, Patricia Harris tells KPTV.

Harris also says that a family friend may have helped solve the case.

In an interview with KPTV, Andre Miller says Ivanice Harris' jewelry was missing when her body was discovered, so he posted an ad on Craigslist, hoping for a tip.

Miller says a man from Missouri contacted him saying he had just returned from Hawaii and bought the jewelry from two men that approached him in Waikiki.

Miller tells KPTV he gave those details to detectives and the next day Cosby was arrested.
