Summer Plans: Dig Into Reading

Posted: Updated:

(HawaiiNewsNow) - If you're looking for something for your kids to do this summer, help them keep their minds active by telling them to read a book a week. The Hawaii State Public Library System is currently holding its summer reading program that runs through July 6. The six-week  "Dig Into Reading" program encourages young readers to visit their local library and read at least one book per week. In addition to reading, HSPLS will offer special free performances of featured artists courtesy of the Friends of the Library of Hawaii and nearly 40 corporate sponsors.
