Honolulu Club re-opens doors after month-long closure

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Honolulu Club is back in business Saturday after being shut down for nearly a month.

The Honolulu Club on Ward Avenue re-opened Saturday morning under new management. The previous owners, Meridien Sports Clubs, filed for bankruptcy last October.

After months of planning and constructions, members got to enjoy the club's new state-of-the-art equipment.

"It's been really exciting seeing these folks come back to the club. Many of them have been members here for 20 or 30 years, so it's been like a homecoming for them to get back," Dick Gushman, owner of the Honolulu Club said.

The club has been around for more than three decades.

Owners say it is always accepting new members.
