UPDATE at 10:00 a.m. on FRIDAY:
Water service has been restored to all customers, according to the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. Roads are still closed as crews work to repair the affected areas.

ORIGINAL STORY:
An eight inch water main break in Kaka'ako is affecting several nearby businesses early on Friday morning, and roads are closed while crews work to repair the main and restore service. 

The break, which happened at around 1:35 a.m., is located near 327 Keawe Street.

Both lanes of Keawe Street between Ala Moana Blvd. and Auahi Street are closed, and motorists are advised to take alternate travel routes until crews can complete repairs.

A water wagon is positioned at 327 Keawe Street to provided water for 6 affected customers.

Work to repair the broken main is expected to continue into the afternoon.
