Flood advisory extended for Oahu until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has extended a Flood advisory for Oahu until 6 p.m.

At 2:59 p.m. radar showed scattered heavy downpours near Makakilo, Aiea and Kaaawa. The heavy showers were showing drifting slowly with intense rainfall rates locally in excess of 2 to 3 inches per hour.

However the showers were not lasting too long in any one location.

* Other locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Waianae, Nanakuli, Kapolei, Kunia, Pearl City, Waikane and Hauula.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 6 p.m. if heavy rain persists.
