Croson To Leave Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Team

Posted: Updated:

HONOLULU – (Hawaii Athletics) University of Hawai‘i head women's volleyball coach Dave Shoji announced that outside hitter Jane Croson will not return to the Rainbow Wahine volleyball program.

"Towards the end of spring practice, Jane expressed her desire to leave the program and transfer to another school," Shoji said. "After exploring her options, Jane decided it is in her best interest to leave. We will surely miss her contributions on the court and we wish her well. She's been a big part of our program for two years but we are ready to move forward and will strive to make up for her loss with our returning and incoming players."

Croson played two seasons for both the Rainbow Wahine indoor and sand volleyball teams. With the indoor squad, she was a two-time all-conference recipient who averaged 3.71 kills and 2.67 digs per set during her career. She also finished with 62 career service aces. In addition, Croson was an AVCA All-American during UH's inaugural sand volleyball season in 2012, tallying a 22-10 overall record.
