HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - (Hawaii News Now) – NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday that the league is considering moving the Pro Bowl to the mainland as early as 2015.
"There is interest and potential to bring it back to the mainland, in multiple sites, as early as the following year" said Goodell.
In March, Goodell announced that the Pro Bowl would be held at Aloha Stadium in 2014, the Sunday before the Super Bowl. He also said then that the league was considering all options in regards to the future site of the game, including keeping it in Hawaii, moving it to the Super Bowl host city on an annual basis, or having a rotation of cities, in which Honolulu would be included.
Goodell did not mention a timetable on when a final decision would be made on the 2015 Pro Bowl.
