FAIRWAY, KS (KCTV) -
Thank you Kansas City for your generosity in donating bottled water for tornado-ravaged areas of Oklahoma.
You have brought cases and pallets of water in droves. You've filled up U-Haul trucks and two semis!
Hy-Vee donated a semi full of water Wednesday. Specialty Trucking donated several pallets of water and a driver is filling a company semi with donated water to take to the victims.
Soldiers at Fort Leavenworth brought almost 50 cases of water.
KCTV5, KSMO, The Salvation Army and the American Children's Society launched the drive at noon Tuesday. It ended at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Dozens of generous residents brought bottled water to our studios at 4500 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Fairway, KS.
In addition to bottled water, you can make monetary donations to the Salvation Army. You can call 1-800-SALARMY, make an automatic $10 donation by texting 80888 or go to their website by clicking here.
At this point, the Salvation Army said other goods are not needed.
The American Children's Society is delivering the bottled water in U-Hauls. This is in addition to the Hy-Vee semi and the Specialty Trucking semi.
