(HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaii-born singer Sunway released her newest album "I'm Here" in November. Recorded in Honolulu, Germany, and Los Angeles, the album was mastered at the historic Abbey Road Studios in London by engineer Christian Wright (Bryan Ferry, Keane, and the Harry Potter and Robin Hood soundtracks). With a combination of mid- to up-tempo pop rock songs, poignant ballads and even a powerful rock ballad complete with strings, the singer's vocal abilities range from strong and pure to sweetly vulnerable.
Sunway is up for two Na Hoku Hanohano awards including female vocalist of the year and contemporary album of the year. The Na Hoku Hanohana awards takes place on Saturday at the Hawaii Convention Center.
