HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Sunday marks "Hawaii State Law Enforcement Ride For The Fallen Day," the ending event to National Police Week.

The ride serves to raise money for a memorial to honor fallen law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. The memorial is to be constructed and maintained at the state Capitol.

State Sheriff Shawn Tsuha presented a proclamation from the Governor at the event.

The ride started at Iolani Palace Saturday morning. Riders made their way to the North Shore, and will finish at Cycle City in Honolulu.
