HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Police say the suspect, a man in his 20s, turned
himself into the Kaneohe Police Substation after his friends told him he was on
TV during a report about the graffiti. He
was released with no charges. The
investigation remains active and open.
Original story posted below:
The Honolulu Police Department is on the hunt for a hiker who is leaving graffiti in the great outdoors. A man who goes by the screen name "hikerboy808" has been leaving that tag at hiking trails across Oahu.
The name has been carved into trees and written on stairs, and he's apparently proud of his work, posting multiple photos of the graffiti on social media sites.
The county wants the graffiti to stop, and Honolulu Police have opened an investigation.
