HAGATNA, Guam (AP) - The trial of a Guam man charged with kidnapping and rape was delayed when the wrong prisoner was brought to court.

Ray Charles Tedtaotao Camacho was scheduled to appear Monday morning before Superior Court of Guam Judge Anita Sukola. However, the Pacific Daily News reports that the Department of Corrections brought another man to the courthouse.

Camacho is accused of hiding in a woman's car last October and taking her to a remote location, where he tied her with seatbelts and raped her. He also allegedly took the woman's debit card and threatened to kill her.

Camacho's lawyer Douglas Moylan says the problem arose because there are numerous prisoners with the name Tedtaotao or with similar names.

The hearing was rescheduled for June 10.
