Walmart Kapolei reopens after suspicious package found

Walmart Kapolei is back open for business after a suspicious package was found in the parking lot.

The store was evacuated customers after a container was found in a shopping cart. Honolulu police say that container was actually an empty ammunition box.

The all clear was given around 3:45 p.m. No arrests were made.

A shopper who was inside Walmart when police arrived tweeted, "I was standing in line when all the employees started forcing people out, leaving our carts and items.  Kind of scary."

This is the second bomb scare on Oahu today.

S.S.D units were called to investigate a suspicious package found in a Kahuku park Thursday morning.

Two Kahuku schools were placed on lockdown while authorities investigated.

The all clear was given Thursday afternoon.
