HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Fans at the Les Murakami Stadium were treated to another great pitching performance, unfortunately, yet again, it was on display by the opposing team.
The Hawaii baseball team (9-29, 4-11 Big West) was shutout, 3-0, by #3 Cal State Fullerton (36-7 and 12-3), Sunday, marking the second straight night the Bows failed to score a run.
Marc Flores and Kalei Hanawahine account for UH's two hits off CSF's Grahmm Wiest (7-2) who pitched eight innings for the victory. Corey MacDonald (4-5) was tagged with the loss allowing three runs on seven hits in eight strong innings of his own.
The Rainbows now head out on their second Big West road swing. They will play seven games in 10 days for the second time this season beginning with a three-game series at Pacific.
