HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Volunteers lined up more than 500 slippers to call attention to abused keiki in Hawaii Saturday.
The display at the Children's Justice Center of Oahu represents all the children they have helped in the past 25 years.
The slippers will go to the IHS Homeless Shelter.
The Leahi Green Girls Soccer Team was happy to help kids their own age. "We just wanna let them know that there's people that will support them and love them," 10-year-old Emma Nitao, a member of the soccer club, said.
Kamehameha Schools student Kaili Perez also donated a $600 check from bake sale fundraisers for the center.
