HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police have charged one of the men in connection with Friday morning's fatal assault in Kalihi.
Honolulu Police have charged Tosoga Vainuupo with second-degree murder. Bail was set at $150,000.
A second suspect was released pending further investigation.
Vainuupo, 21, was arrested after Jason Oliveros of Aiea was found beaten to death along Halona Street near Houghtailing Street. A memorial to the 20-year-old Oliveros has sprung up at the spot where his body was found.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office released Oliveros' identity Saturday. The cause of his death hasn't yet been determined.
