A 25-year-old man was arrested early Sunday in connection with a shooting in Waikiki that left another man in serious condition.
According to Honolulu Police, two men were involved in a physical argument at the Waikiki Trade Center at about 2:50 a.m. The 25-year-old suspect then shot the other man, also 25.
Emergency officials initially reported that they had responded to the Zanzabar nightclub. A spokesperson for Zanzabar said the men were not customers at the club, and that security cameras showed that neither man had entered or exited the club. The spokesman also said all of its customers are scanned by metal detector before they can enter.
Police arrested the man for second-degree attempted murder. The investigation is continuing.
