DUTCHTOWN, MO (KFVS) -

Dutchtown City Alderman Shirley Moss said the city is in desperate need of volunteer sandbaggers.

"We are under the gun," Doyle Parmer, who is help organizing the effort, said. "The water is coming quick."

Parmer says the area has seen it's share of damaging flood waters in recent years.

"We got to keep families and children from getting wet," Parmer said. "We need sandbaggers badly. The next two days it's very critical."

According to Moss, there is a threat of rising water and she is afraid that homes will flood.

Volunteers can go to the intersection of Highway 74 and 25. Moss said they already have sand and bags, they just need workers.
