(RNN) - Over the past week, Americans all across the country have been moved to support the victims of the Boston Marathon any way they can.
When Connecticut music teacher and avid runner Derek Waldron heard about the attack, he poured his feelings into a heartfelt and yet hopeful tribute to the victims. The song is called I Will Run and already has more than 3,500 views on YouTube.
In an interview with WFSB, Waldron said he felt a close connection to what happened because he and his father had always dreamed of running in the Boston Marathon together.
"It is so sad to me that such a positive event for all involved can be turned into something so horrific by the hands of another human being. No matter what though, you can't be held down, or held back, because strength is in all of our hearts," Waldron wrote on his YouTube page.
You can download I Will Run for free and listen to samples of Waldron's music on his Reverbnation page.
French duo Daft Punk is already breaking records with the release of their first new single in eight years, Get Lucky.
The electronic/dance track had the biggest first day of streams in Spotify history, out-performing Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop.
Daft Punk's highly anticipated album Random Access Memories will debut May 21. The band released the track listing via Twitter's Vine and also announced they have been working on tracks for Kanye West's upcoming album.

This year's Bonnaroo is going to be one wicked festival, with acts from Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons, Bjork, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, R. Kelly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men and Wilco.
In preparation for the main event, Noisetrade has compiled a free sampler of 14 slightly lesser-known bands who will be performing. Before you pack up your tent and load the car, get familiar with the likes of Lord Huron, Glen Hansard, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Sea Wolf and more. We admit, we'll probably have this list on repeat until June 13. It's that good.
Luck, who joined Relient K in 2008, posted to the band's Facebook page on Sunday "Thank you for spending time with me after shows, having good conversation or just saying hello. I am beyond grateful."
Later that day, the band posted their new single from the upcoming album Collapsible Lung on YouTube. Warning: It's a catchy little number. YWIM is not responsible if it gets endlessly stuck in your mental jukebox.
Rock band 3 Doors Down has canceled their remaining shows for April and May after the band's bassist was charged in a fatal wreck in Nashville.
Robert Todd Harrell was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication. Police say on Friday, his car clipped a pickup being driven by Paul Howard Shoulders Jr. The pickup struck a guardrail, ran down an embankment and overturned. Shoulders, not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Police say Harrell admitted to drinking hard cider and taking Lortab and Xanax.
The band released a statement saying, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time."
The tour will continue in Moscow on May 31 and return to the U.S. in July.
Harrell is currently out on bond.
