Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month

(Hawaii News Now) - April is Parkinson's Disease awareness month. Over 1.5 million people are afflicted in North America and over 8 million worldwide.  The disease is progressive and there are no medical intervention that slow or stop the progression. The drug régime only helps with decreasing symptoms.  Eileen Phillips is a registered nurse with Attention Plus Care and Kevin Lockette is the Vice President from the National Parkinson's Foundation of Hawaii.
