Hawaii flags to be flown at half-staff after attacks

HONOLULU (AP) - Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has ordered that all state flags be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon.

Abercrombie on Tuesday said that all state flags will be flown at half-staff through sunset on Saturday. He said in a statement that Hawaii offers its "support and our aloha to the people of Massachusetts during this difficult time."

President Obama also has ordered that the White House flag and those at all federal public buildings and grounds, as well as military post and naval stations, be flown at half-staff throughout the United States and its territories.

Three people were killed and more than 170 injured Monday when two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
