Kitamura and Real power Bows past Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (HawaiiNewsNow) - The top of the lineup carried the University of Hawaii baseball team to a 7-6 upset of 20th ranked Cal Poly, Sunday.

Freshman Andre Real (3-5, 2B, 3B, 2 Runs, 2 RBI) finished a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle and Piikea Kitamura had a career high four hits (4-5, 2 Runs, 2 RBI) as the Bows snapped a seven game slide.

Scott Squeir earned his first career save after working a scoreless ninth inning.

UH now returns home for a pair of Big West series against Cal State Northridge and Cal State Fullerton. The 'Bows and Matadors begin their three-game series on Friday, Apr. 19 at Les Murakami Stadium.
