No tsunami from 4.4 quake northeast of Big Island

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a 4.4 magnitude earthquake northeast of the Big Island of Hawaii did not generate a tsunami.

The quake was recorded at 10:45 a.m. Saturday and was centered 31 miles northeast of Honokaa.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was felt on parts of the Big Island of Hawaii and Maui.
