20 UH swimmers named to all-academic team

WOODLAND, Calif. (HawaiiAthletics)- The University of Hawai'i men's and women's swimming & diving teams finished the season with merit both in and out of the pool. 15 women and 5 men were named All-Academic Scholar Athletes in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the 2012-13 school year.
In order to be selected to the All-Academic list, the student-athlete but maintain a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, be an academic sophomore, have completed one full academic year and have competed in fifty percent or more in competition.
For the Warriors, four seniors Luca Mazzurana, Luke Hayes, Ruddy Kiessling and Cody Miller led the team academically to round off their final season at UH. Sophomore Grant Uekawa also earned academic honors upon his first year of eligibility.
The Rainbow Wahine had 15 selected to the MPSF all-academic list in their first year in the conference. Seniors Annathea Accornero, Hannah Bocksnick, Genevieve Bradley, Haydn Maclean, and Taylor Ritenberg finish their UH careers academically sound.
Juniors Alyssa Foo, Sofia Mustelin, Sofija Djelic, and sophomores Jasmine Alkhaldi, Antoinette Ranit, Natalie Garger, Peggy Liang, Kristen Bennett, Natalie Matsuyama, and Rachel Fujita were all honored as well.
