HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Award-winning singer and songwriter Toby Keith will play four free USO concerts for Hawaii's military community this weekend.
Keith will start his Hawaii tour on Friday with two concerts one on Kauai (Barking Sands) the other on Oahu (Pearl Harbor). He will then play Schofield Barracks on Saturday, May 4 and Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe on May 5.
Keith has been an outspoken supporter of the U.S. military and has traveled all over the globe for several USO tours.
The Hawaii tour is part of a 10-day USO tour that will take Keith to the Philippines, Guam and Hawaii. According to the USO, since his first USO tour in 2002, Keith has performed 11 USO tours and traveled to 15 countries.
"It feels so good to be back out visiting and performing for our troops in uniform and their families," Keith said in a USO interview. "I've toured a lot in my lifetime but nothing beats traveling with the USO, having the opportunity to uplift the spirits of our nation's service heroes and showing them that America is always by their side no matter where they are in the world."
The country music superstar has a number of mega hits including, Red Solo Cup, I Love This Bar, As Good as I Once Was, Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue , Hope on the Rocks, American Soldier, Beer for My Horses , How Do You Like Me Now and Should've Been a Cowboy.
All concerts are on military installations and will require DoD/Government ID's to gain base access.

**NEW SECURITY UPDATE** NO Backpacks, totes, large purses or bags of any kind, other than small clutch purses will be allowed. Food, coolers, tents, umbrellas, pets, audio and video recording devices are also prohibited. Authorized items include: folding chairs, blankets, strollers (containing only items that are necessities for childcare such as diaper bags, and formula in a plastic container). All personnel and carry-ins (bags/purses) are subject to inspection.
