WAIPAHU, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Water was restored to all customers by 3:30 p.m. Sunday after a 12-inch water main broke on Hianakiu Street in Waipahu.
The main break occurred at around 6 a.m. Hianakiu Street was closed while Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews worked to repair the break. One lane of the road was re-opened for traffic at about 10:45 a.m.
All road repairs were finished by about 1:30 a.m. on Monday.
The pipe ruptured causing the closure of the road and leaving a 15 foot gash on the road and 60 residents without water for the majority of the day.
