WAIMEA, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Hawaii Island police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted for harassment and sexual assault on a public bus.
On January 28 at about 3:25 p.m. the unidentified man touched a female minor while engaging in an indecent act on a Hele-On bus in Waimea near the Lakeland bus stop, police say.
He is described as African-American, tall and thin with short dark hair. At the time, he was wearing a RVCA hat and white Beats headphones with a red cord. He may be in Hilo.
Police ask that anyone with information on his identity or location call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
