HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A line of showers connected to a cold front that cleared Kauai earlier this morning has made landfall on West Oahu.
At 9:24 a.m. the first showers were touching Kaena Point. The rain should move across the island fairly quickly, but we do expect some ponding on roadways and minor flooding in low-lying areas.
The humid and hazy southerly winds will turn westerly once the front has passed.
Conditions on Oahu should be fairly dry with thinning cloud cover by afternoon. The showers will move to Maui County next and dampen those islands tonight and part of Saturday.
