MAUNA KEA, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - Firefighters on the Big Island resumed their search Thursday for a missing hiker on Mauna Kea.
Jennifer Ho was hiking with her husband and some friends Wednesday around 1:45 p.m. when they say she began feeling ill. Her hiking group reports that she decided to stay behind near the Mauna Kea Access Road as they continued on.
The group returned two hours later, but Ho was gone.
Shortly after noon the following day, rescue crews found Ho several miles away from the trail near the 23 mile marker of Saddle Road. It is not immediately clear how or why she ended up there. Ho is reportedly in good condition.
