Thomas Harold-George Brookbank has been sentenced for sexual assault of a child.
Brookbank received a life sentence for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony. Brookbank entered a guilty plea before presiding judge Jack Skeen, Jr.
In July of 2012, a nine-year-old girl told her mother that she and several friends had been sexually assaulted by a man named "Tom."
Upon investigation, police found that Thomas Brookbank, 21, had made a clubhouse area in the bushes behind the mobile home park where the children lived. Brookbank told authorities he assaulted at least five different children in wooded area near a mobile home park on Shiloh Road in Tyler.

According to court documents, Brookbank told authorities it was there in the clubhouse that he assaulted five children, both girls and boys, under the age of eleven.
Brookbank admitted to Tyler police that the sexual assaults began nearly two months prior to his arrest, but had stopped for about two weeks after rumors of his alleged behavior reached his parents.
Brookbank reportedly told authorities that he would have continued to assault the children had police not contacted him.
