A man has died after attempting to jump from the fourth floor of an apartment building into a pool.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday, March 17, at the Kalo Terrace Student Suites near the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. Police say the victim, who has been identified as Quinn Kunitomo of Honolulu, landed on the deck.

According to the medical examiner, Kunitomo died the following day from cranial cerebral injuries due to a fall from height.
