HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Boise State will join the 2013 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic field which includes tournament host school Hawaii, George Mason, Iowa State, Saint Mary's, Oregon State and South Carolina.
The tournament is set to be played on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday, Dec. 22, 23 & 25, at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Broncos concluded the regular season with a 21-10 record and were one of five Mountain West Conference teams to earn an invitation to this year's NCAA Championship.
Boise State will be making its second trip to the NCAA Championship in the last five years and its first as an at-large bid. The program will also be heading to the postseason for the fourth time in the last six seasons.
Five of the seven teams in the 2013 field have qualified for the postseason this year, including Boise State (NCAA), Hawaii (CIT), George Mason (CBI), Iowa State (NCAA) and St. Mary's (NCAA). The eighth and final team in the tournament field will be announced at a later date.
