UH men's hoops team to host Air Force in CIT

Honolulu (HawaiiNewsNow) - They may be down but don't count the Rainbow Warrior basketball team out of the postseason.

Sources told Hawaii News Now that UH (17-14, 10-8 Big West) received an invitation to play in the Collegeinsider.com postseason tournament Sunday night.

The Bows will host Air Force (17-13, 8-8 MWC) in round one on Wednesday, March 20 at 7pm.

Hawaii's season was on the brink of ending after suffering a 71-60 loss to UC-Irvine in round one of the Big West tournament.

This is the fifth year of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament and the second-year with a 32-team field.

Opening round games for the CollegeInsider.com Tournament will be played March 19-20 with second round action set for March 21-23. Quarterfinal round games will be played March 24-26 with the semifinal phase set for March 28-30. The championship game, scheduled for Tuesday, April 2, will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
